yannisSo, three new metro stations were opened today: Αγία Βαρβάρα, Κορυδαλλός and Νίκαια.
This is the first expansion of Athens Metro since 2013, when seven new stations were opened.
So I grabbed my camera and went to see these new stations, because why not. Besides, this was probably my first and last visit to them, since the stations are built in the outskirts of the city, and there is absolutely nothing to do there.
The day was hot, as usual, but exactly during my trip a weak rain fell.
This was not the worst part of my journey, though.
The worst part happened just a few meters away from the entrance to Κορυδαλλός metro station,where I've noticed a three times folded 50 euro bill, laying just in the middle of the street.
Unfortunately, I was not the only one who noticed it - an elderly couple happened to be a few meters closer to it than I was, so the old man grabbed the banknote without further thinking and his elderly girlfriend immediately gave him a high five. They were going to spend these money in the nearest restaurant, I suppose.
Well, anyway, this awful experince marred my whole day, and on my way back home I was nearly crying. At least I was wearing a mask, so nodody could see, I hope.
