So, today, on the first official day of Greek summer, I went to Εθνικό Ιστορικό Μουσείο. Nobody measures your temperature there, and some visitors don't even wear "protective" masks. Yeah, as for visitors, there were some; not too many, but I have never seen too many visitors there anyway. So I think I may say there was a usual number of visitors. The first floor still houses an exhibition on the revolution of 1821 made of Playmobil blocks and figurines, and will house it till the next March, I guess. What a way to promote your product.

Before going there I went to Σύνταγμα to see if there will be Sunday parade of evzones at 11:00, but it didn't happen. As well as it didn't happen a week and two weeks ago. Now instead of this parade they perform a ceremony which differs from the usual change of guards, but there are still only five of them involved. They just don't go to those whom they are going to change directly, but spend a little time standing on the left, as they do (or should I say "did"?) during the actual parade.

The reason I thought the parade could take place today, is because yesterday or the day before yesterday, while I was riding a trolley along Ζάππειο, I've seen evzones training their movements in the park, as they normally do. So I thought to myself, why would they be training for the parade if it won't happen? But it did not. So I'm starting to think this whole parade thing is nothing more than a tourist attraction now, and probably there won't be any parades until the tourist industry will be revived. Kinda sad and stupid. I thought it still meant something regardless of tourists' presence, but there were no parades since all this madness started in March.

Unfortunatelly, there are no tourists. Most of the hotels still remain shut, although they are allowed to operate. This includes the most luxurious and expensive hotels in the city center, including Grand Bretagne and King George. They are all completely shut. Tourism is dead as of now.
