20 years of concert-going

yannisSo, exactly twenty years ago, on May 20th 2000, I attended the first rock concert in my life.
It was Alisa playing in Yubileyny Sports Palace, St Petersburg. The ticket costed me something like 150 roubles, as far as I remember (I didn't keep the ticket stub).
Then, exactly ten years later, I went back to Yubileyny Sports Palace to see The Cranberries.
And today, twenty years later, I have no fucking idea when will I go to any rock concert, if ever; the last one attended by me being Torche in Temple club, on March 11th.
It seems all summer festivals have been postponed till summer'21, so there will be no shows at least till autumn, if not till 2021 or even 2022.
And clubs are basically too cautios to schedule any gigs, even for autumn, so as of now, there are about ten shows booked in all Athens' clubs till the end of the year, and who knows, maybe they will have to cancel them, too. Not only because of "COVID-19", but because people are too scared and have no fucking money.
The whole entertainment industry is dead, not only rock clubs, and it took less than three months to kill it.
Who would have thought even in February that events could take such a tragic turn!
Fucking shit.
Well, anyway, I tried to count all the concerts I've been to through these twenty years (it was not that difficult, since I collect ticket stubs and keep some notes), and if a festival day is counted as a single concert, the number of shows I've been to amounts to 544. And if a festival day is counted as a number of artists whose performances I've seen during this festival day... Well, I've been too lazy to count it, but I assume the number will be somewhere between 700-800, but it isn't fair count and, again, I'm too lazy.
So, in 2000 I've been to two shows, which was the lowest number of concerts I've attended in a year, and the highest number was 70, in 2019. In fact, I didn't go to the concerts that often back in the 00's, through that whole decade I've been to less than a hundred shows. Then, in the 10's, I became a little obsessed, the number of shows I've been attending growing steadily from year to year, and now it seems everything is suddenly over lol.
So yeah, these were some great twenty years. Now I think that maybe I'm just too old to go to rock concerts anyway, and there is really nothing I can complain about, I've seen my favourite bands dozens of times around the whole Europe, and I've been to the shows of hundreds of other great bands I'm not a fan of.
