Band in China
Oct. 13th, 2019 08:01 pmHaven't watched South Park for some years, but was forced to look up their lates episode due to all this fuss.
Honestly, it seems to me they've been really going down lately, I've even tried to watch some of their newer stuff from time to time, but couldn't stand it for more than a few minutes.
They are kinda really into politics, and by politics I mean explicitly American politics, and I don't give a fuck about American politics, really.
But now with all this shit about China killing the freedom of not only Chinese people, but of people all over the world, it all seems like more relevant and important.
Because whether we like it or not the USA sets the standards of art and freedom and freedom of art and if these standards now are not American but Chinese, it compromises the whole modern culture and frankly speaking it sucks.
And if China can dictate its will to the most powerful entities in the world, it surely means something.
Like, PC definitely sucks, but living in a world where global culture and business are controlled by China sucks indefinite times more.
So yeah, I watched the whole episode of South Park first time in God knows how many years and it is OK and I would definitely recommend it.
Although yeah, some may say they are just capitalising on the present situation and agenda, and call all this smart marketing, but this time it seems totally appropriate for some reason. I don't want to dive into details, but too many people remain silent and we totally know what's the reason for them to be silent, and if some dare to say something even in these dire conditions, we should be grateful for them, even if all their other latest output is pretty lame lol.
And, by the way, fuck China, fuck Chinese and fuck Presidnt Xi who is definitely looks like Vinnie the Pooh.
Those bastards clearly deserve to be nuked and destroyed, because if they won't be destroyed now, they will corrupt and destroy whole Western civilization as we know it.
