So, while I've been binge watching different Swedish-related videos on youtube, it's algorythms started recommending me some videos, which seemed to be chapters of some audiobook for those who just started learning Swedish.
It turned out it was Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige adapted for beginners, i.e. with simplified grammar.
What caught my attention, different chapters had different lenth, some were just under ten minutes, while others were more than twenty minutes long.
Well, eventually I found the longest one, which was more than half an hour long. I listened to it and understood it almost completely.
And then I found the original of the book - since the author, Selma Lagerlöf, died in 1940, her books have been in public domain for quite a while.
It turned out that the chapter I listened to is really the longest chapter in the book. I found an audiobook with English translation, and it was the only chapter they had to split, and they split it into three parts, and the whole chapter is more than an hour long.
Well, anyway, I read the original, which took me about six hours, and I really enjoyed it for some reason.
So yeah, Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige is a great book, and I should probably read it in its entirety, since I have already read the longest chapter, as well as two or three more, which were considerably shorter.
I think it's a good book for beginners.

English audiobook, which I don't listen to, but it gives me an idea about how long different chapters are (the whole book is 17 hr 38 min long): https://librivox.bookdesign.biz/book/2531
