Just returned from dEUS concert in Fuzz Club.
The concert was sold out - which in case of Fuzz Club happens not so often. In fact, I can't remember if I have ever been to sold out concert in this club.
And, you can imagine, sour oranges are still hanging from the trees near the entrance!
For some reason it makes this club even more awesome lol.
Before the concert it has been announced that it will be filmed for a documentary, so, hopefully, I'll finally make it to the big screen, as I've spent all the concert in the first row lol.
Yeah, really, there had been a woman with a camera on tripod behind the fence filming everything, and, as I understand, they are going to make a film using footage filmed during this European tour. So, hopefully, hopefully, lol.
The fence itself has been moved so close to the stage that there was no room left, so photographers had to photograph standing in the right corner. I think they did so to accomodate as many people as possible since all the tickets has been sold.
As for the public, there were many people in their 40s. Well, I would have said too many lol. The band is really old, and the concert was dedicated to 20th anniversary of their album "The Ideal Crash", which had been played it it's entirety. So what would you expect...
For once, there had been no supporting band (all the supporting local bands I have seen so far had been shitty lol), so the concert started and ended relatively early.
Well, it didn't make much difference, as Athens Metro (as well as tram and suburban electric train) yesterday have been on strike.
Which, in local conditions, means that they started running at 8am and ended at 10pm. Not that bad, but I had to get back home on foot. I could certainly wait for a night bus, but it wouldn't worth it, since I would have to wait for it for about half an hour, while my home is just about five kilometers away from Fuzz Club. And what can be better then an hour long night walk through hot dirty nocturnal Athens lol?
Well, anyway, the concert was great. The band played the old songs everybody enjoyed etc. On a few songs (either four of five) they were supported by a dancing group consisting of five memebers (girls and boys), as far as I remember. Haven't seen anything like it before, and it reminded me a bit about 2014 The Knife concerts. Ehhh...
Yeah, that's it.
The concert season is over, and in the next three months I won't visit neither Fuzz Club, nor other big or small Athens clubs, since they are basically closed until Autumn. There will be concerts of local bands occasionally, but I'm not interested in them.
So yeah, so far so good.
